What is HubSpot?

Oct 24, 2019 2:04:03 PM

What is HubSpot? I've asked myself that question repeatedly as I stepped into the world of inbound marketing for the first time without a clue about it. I heard that word passed around in conversation once or twice, but I kept thinking to myself, "What is HubSpot?"

Beginners guide to HubSpot

HubSpot is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform that allows agencies, small and large, to improve their inbound marketing strategies. Inbound is a communicative, human approach to growing your business. It's a strategy of lead nurturing marketing tools that provide value while instilling trust.

HubSpot currently provides its services to over 15,000 different companies. The platform allows clients to integrate internal documents, websites, emails, and transactions through a single platform. Apart from this, HubSpot offers agencies a partnership program guiding your company and team with the fundamental knowledge needed to build long, successful relationships with clients.

HubSpot partners are given access to a world of possibilities. Within HubSpot is the HubSpot Academy, an educational platform to help users test themselves through a variety of academic courses regarding the proper management of the HubSpot CRM, inbound marketing, sales, writing a blog post and more disciplines to improve internal processes. It is also continuously updated.

As a HubSpot partner, you're given priority support and an honorific mentioning allowing you to be discovered by thousands of HubSpot subscribers through the HubSpot Marketing Blog. If you own a startup, partnering with HubSpot will help your company grow by offering to fund up to $150,000 if you reach the specific requirements.

Before obtaining all of the benefits mentioned above and more, first, you need to understand the HubSpot Agency Partner Tiers Program.

What is the HubSpot Agency Partner Tiers Program?

Your agency can ascend through four tiers of partnership with HubSpot: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The tiers program is designed for those Agency Partners who excel in communicating the inbound methodology and produce exceptional customer service.

HubSpot partners are inserted into their respective tier depending on a variety of factors. Their clientele, monthly revenue, and how many of your clients use the HubSpot CRM to determine the categorization. As a HubSpot Partner, that means that HubSpot is your primary marketing automation, sales process, and service tools.

During a tactical call, detail the exact ways in which HubSpot can help facilitate your client's business and drive customer success by integrating all their operations into one software. However, it is not necessary since there are thousands of other agencies that function with a different process. Some agencies don't pay attention to social media or use marketing automation software without any problems.

Since your marketing automation is related to HubSpot, you'll need clients to have HubSpot to become a Diamond Agency Partner. The most appropriate way would be not to sell HubSpot right away, but to bring it up in a future tactical conversation before discussing the retainer.

For example, to become Platinum, you need a total of $4,125 from clients who are paying for HubSpot. This means Client 1 pays $600, Client 2 pays $400 and Client 3 can pay $1,125. At the end of each month, the total amount is presented to HubSpot and categorized inside a tier.

Long story short, at the end of the day, apart from obtaining a customer, your customer should be partnered with HubSpot through you. That's just the way it is. Anyways, there's still some information left to cover regarding HubSpot history.

More about HubSpot

HubSpot started as a blogging website that was co-created by two highly gifted individuals named as Dharmesh Shah and Brian Halligan. Later they began to develop more robust software that could properly. They're passionate and human-centric by creating useful content with the user in mind.

"Sleep is that time when you're working on startup problems with your eyes closed." - Dharmesh Shah

The headquarters of Hubspot is located in Cambridge, Boston, Massachusetts. It neighbors ivy league universities such as Harvard and MIT. It is thus giving its name justice as it's situated in the hub for academics.

Right as you enter the building from the main entrance, the first things you'll notice hanging on the wall are images of cities in which HubSpot is located (Australia, Colombia, Germany, and Japan to name a few). Facing the lobby on the side of the elevator is a beautifully painted depiction of a tropical rainforest. Visitors are able to serve their own coffee or tea at the reception but don't forget to grab a sticker and pin of HubSpot merchandise before you move on!

The inbound methodology can genuinely be felt here. Its essence is found in every single corner of the HubSpot headquarters, inspiring all inbound marketers to continue communicating the importance of inbound marketing.

HubSpot has grown exponentially over the past few years and has become internationally known as one of the top companies to work for because of the company's culture. You'll be impressed by the interior design and all of the services they provide to ensure that their employee's necessities are taken care of.

The office life at HubSpot is excellent. You're given free coffee, tea, beer, and wine on tap, food, candy, and of course wifi! Employees are allowed to sit wherever they like, bring their dogs, there's a gym, take a nap in a resting area, and there's even a maternity ward for women who are going into labor with all the necessary equipment to give birth right at HubSpot!

HubSpot's philosophy is modern, progressive, and liberating, giving employees the ability to live their lives without feeling restricted by their work environment.

Closing Thoughts about HubSpot

The moment I entered the world of inbound marketing, I did not understand HubSpot at all. I've been able to learn about HubSpot's structure after having been involved with them for half a year. A once convoluted system has now begun to be a pillar of education myself about the business and its philosophy, the more I began to identify myself with HubSpot.

Although now I'm not 100% fully in alignment with HubSpot because for personal reasons. One of them is that I develop codes for websites starting from scratch and dislike the templates HubSpot offers. I continue to feel that the user interface is a convoluted system with many of the applications hard to locate.

I began to identify with what HubSpot is accomplishing, the more I learned about its values and philosophy. HubSpot is a beautiful company that has grown to become one of the most influential leaders in marketing. It's become a hub of information and a source of inspiration.

So you may be wondering now, "Do I need HubSpot?" No, you don't need anything to be the most excellent agency or marketer in the world. All you have to do is do it, but if you haven't done so, HubSpot will help you achieve that goal because it has helped me achieve mine. I hope this article helped give you a better understanding of what is HubSpot!
